Well, the day is finally here. What a day! The sun, yes the sun turned it on. Kate's long awaited moment was finally here and didn't she look every bit the bride! Kate was so excited she could hardly breathe. Stunning!
The groom, Brett, was beaming and eager to make the love of his life, his wife.
The Dunes Resort at Angels Beach, East Ballina, provided a spectacular back drop for this lucky couple. Then a special surprise. 6 butterfly releases by Kate’s girlfriends.
Does it get any better than celebrating with your family, friends, under blue skies and cold bubbles. Here's to Brett & Kate. Simply perfect...X

Toot, toot! Surprise, surprise! Haley ahoy. And what an entrance. Sailing right up to her man at the Tavern. The guests were onto their second champers when they were treated to the surprise arrival. Haley had it wired with 4 gorgeous bridesmaids in attendance.
All were in awe of her spectacular entrance.
Haley was beaming as her dad escorted her up on to the deck. Shannon, propped up by 4 groomsmen, played cool and collected. Zane, their two year old took it all in his stride as he sat comfortable on his uncle's lap. He certainly stole the show during the sand ceremony with his cute boyish looks.
Fabulous atmosphere - just shows what some forward planning can do. Cheers to Mr & Mrs Saye.

Well if you were all wondering where our summer was, she definitely showed her best colours today.
Tissues and hankies were a man's best friend today with many a brow in need of a wipe. But when the gorgeous Marnie appeared, she only added to the heat.
What a stunning bride.
Love wasn't the only thing that filled the Air, bubbles willowed softly thru the air and made for a romantic setting.
Brett and Marnie you were blessed not only with each other but a wonderful family and friends who want only the best for you both.
Enjoy each other and your romantic honeymoon.

Why not combine the most important celebration in a couple's life with the most important celebration on the annual party calendar. Sean and Anita sure did on 2011 New Years Eve.
And what a fabulous venue. The combined backyards of lakeside neighbours made for a spectacular wedding setting with manicured gardens leading down to the shoreline.
Anita arrived looking every bit a beauty and was escorted by her father, 3 bridesmaids, 6 little page boys and a lone flower girl. There would have been 2 flower girls in the mix but for a bleeding lip and lots of tears just before Anita arrived.
Everyone was in the mood to enjoy the beauty of the moment and welcome in the marriage of their good friends Sean and Anita. What a way to end 2011 and see in the New Year!

Hours upon hours in the garden beautifying it for one special day! Imagine watching all your hard work being demolished in one fowl afternoon hail storm!
But alas, all was not lost. With friends and family rallying to save the day, it wasn't long before the garden was back on its feet and ready to go. Wouldn't you know it though, the big day finally did arrive and it was rained out!
Erica wasn't fazed in the least and waltzed thru the house beaming like a ray of sunshine. It wouldn't have mattered where these two lovebirds sealed their fate, rain, hail or shine there was going to be a wedding.
Finally the sun made an appearance and the happy couple took the opportunity for some photos outside. Guests were celebrating in style with the champers flowing. Everyone soaking up the love and the atmosphere.
The four seasons in one kind of day wasn't over yet though. On the way to the reception we were hit with another hail storm. To rock up to a reception with the sun filtering thru the skies and at the same time mounds of hail surrounding us. Quiet surreal as was the whole day. Just magic!

Krystal's family home was the perfect setting for an outdoor wedding. The perfectly manicured lawn, the formal garden settings and the rustic farm relics reminded me of a film set. A photographer's dream.
I can't wait to see John Bortolin's photos. Nothing was left undone! Guests were being treated with beverages and nibblies from the moment they arrived. The darkening skies were barely noticed as old friends and new acquaintances made the most of it.
This was going to be some wedding. Then 'here comes the bride, here they come' and the background chatter was replaced with murmurs of 'what is she wearing, what have the bridesmaids got on'.
Well no-one was disappointed on that point. Especially Aaron. Krystal was a smash hit. OMG she's gorgeous. Followed closely by stunning bridesmaids, Jenna and Kerry Anne.
The service - not a dry eye in the house and yes, I got in on the act too, couldn't help myself. One of the most emotional romantic events I have attended. Emotions running raw but plenty of laughs as well to cap off a memorable and joyful ceremony.
Cafe 29 Wedding - Ballina - Murray & Jules
The wedding reception seemed to kick start before the bride had even arrived. Even though it was early in the day, old friends were catching up over a cold beer or cleansing champagne. It could have kept on merrily but the arrival of the bridal combi van suddenly changed the focus.
Everyone except Murray poured out onto the terrace for a glimpse.
Murray was busy sweating bullets and trying to look calm. Jules looked luminous stepping out in white but wasn't waiting around for the shutter bugs.
She headed straight for her waiting fiancée. Instantly connected and both relieved, Murray and Jules were now smiling from ear to ear.
The ceremony was enhanced with a reading of a poem that Murray had written for Jules when the first met. A born romantic lies within Murray's burly persona.
The rain didn't stand a chance of staving off the enthusiasm of the family and guests for celebrating Murray and Jules special moment.

When you've been a World Champion, you know what it's like to be the best. Ben's wedding was no different. The magnificent 16th Century French chateau Deux Belettes was the chosen venue to be shared with an appreciative group of family and friends.
Set on acreage in the richness of the Byron Bay hinterland, this property even has waterfalls and its own rainforest.
The bride and groom selected an enchanting setting with a huge flowering magnolia for the wedding backdrop. Such a memorable location for these love birds to exchange their wedding vows.
Holly was a striking looking bride and when she made her grand entry, the tears started to show. Even the Celebrant was caught off guard.
Before long the tears turned to smiles and this fairy tale wedding turned to reality. What a beautiful couple, what a beautiful start to a new chapter in their lives.
Pete's family and friends missed out on his marriage to Manja in Germany. Not to be deterred Pete surprised family and friends with a repeat performance. Only they didn't know it until they walked into the renewal ceremony complete with Celebrant!
They thought they were doing a beach Xmas photo so at least they were dressed and ready for a bit of entertainment. Much to the delight of Julie, Denise, Paula, Sarah, Fats, Mark and Robert, they were drafted one by one into the wedding party.
Pete's niece Arielle stirred up a few teary eyes when she shared her poetic abilities with a heartfelt reading. Combined with the shock of the unexpected, the emotions took hold when the call was made for anyone to get up and say a few words.
The tears really started to flow and hankies and sleeves were deployed in the mop up. Renewal of vows can be just as emotional as any wedding.
With a little forethought, the ceremony is just as moving and will touch some sensitive feelings. A few words grew into the expressions of love and congratulation for the newlyweds.
Pete and Manja were equally overwhelmed by the intensity of the moment. It looked as if their vows and ring exchanges were their first and I am sure that their feelings were just as intense as on their wedding day in Europe.

Cool as a cucumber, Scott was wandering around the hall making all the last minute arrangements.
Dressed in a tee shirt and pair of old jeans, he was going to get changed just down the street so just chill. He did make it back just before the gigantic blue Chevrolet pulled up at the front door. Cheryl stepped out looking eagerly for her husband to be.
Escorted by her granddaughter she glided through the hall to a lively welcome from the gathering of friends and family. Scott's face lit up as soon as Cheryl came into view.
These two have a lot in common and they seemed to magnetise each others attention. Cheryl's sister delivered a very emotional reading and brought on a few tears from the audience.
It was a real family affair with some relations travelling from as far away as Adelaide. The newlyweds lapped up the attention and wishes from all around them.
The big blue Chevy was still parked outside waiting to take Scott and Cheryl away but not before celebrating with their friends and family.

Talk about a cracking day for your wedding. But, the warm sun on our backs was the last thing on Chris's mind. Even though every last detail had been planned to the minute,Chris suddenly got the jitters.
He couldn't remember the vows he had been memorizing and needed distraction to get back on track. Well, distraction arrived in the form of his bride a minute later even though a message had just been received that she was 15 minutes away. Deep breathes.
Relax and enjoy. In no time Katrina was walking down the aisle taking everyone's breath away. Chris and Katrina used the gazebo in their bountiful gardens for their ceremony. It had been built especially for a wedding in times past and they wanted to keep the tradition going.
Huddled into the gazebo with close family, Chris and Katrina showed and shared their love with all of them.
To the delight of the wedding guests, Abruzzo, the majestic Maremma, bore the rings to the gazebo and set the scene for landing a beautiful ritual.
