Let me share some recent coastal weddings where I performed as the Wedding Celebrant around Byron, Coorabell, Bangalow, Newrybar, Teven, Brooklet ...

The Pavillions - Broken Head – David & Kelly

The Champagne Celebrants Byron Bay wedding AlbumDavid & Kelly wedding by the Champagne Celebrant Broken HeadWith the buzz in the air of last minute arrangements the scene was set for David & Kelly. The Pavillions at Broken Head was a wonderful plan B as the beach ceremony planned had to take a back seat when the heavens opened up.

Mya their pet Samoyed lay back without a care in the world and watched it all happen around him making himself comfortable wherever he saw fit! A Nervous Kelly waiting in the next room with her two beautiful little girls, Jas and Jaylah was also being fussed over by a bevy of girls.

All a patient David needed was the love of his life of 10 years to make that grand entrance and begin the next phase of their journey together.

Paving the way for their classy mum was Jas and Jaylah and what a beautiful job they did. The bouquets and flowers that filled the room were a credit to the bride herself with her expertise of floral arrangements. It really did come up a treat and the place looked fabulous. What a lovely family you have David & Kelly..Our best wishes to you...X

Byron @ Byron Wedding - Suffolk Park – Carsten & Kathryn

The Champagne Celebrants Byron Bay wedding AlbumCarsten & Kathryn wedding by the Champagne Celebrant Suffolk ParkAfter so much planning and spending so much time looking for the perfect wedding suit, Carsten was not the happiest groom around.  At the eleventh hour realized he had left his suit pants back in Brisbane. No problem though. Whilst Kathryn was busily dressing in her gorgeous Collette Dinnigan number, Greg came to the rescue and gave him the suit off his back, so to speak. Perfect fit, well close enough in a tight situation.
Byron @ Byron is the idyllic setting for a late afternoon wedding. Corks were already popping and fine champagne flowing when Carsten and Kathryn arrived hand in hand. With Ol' blue eyes crooning in the background the guests formed a guard of honour.

Such an intimate and heartfelt ceremony. Pronouncements made it was time for more bubbles and celebrations continued. Carsten and Kathryn, you were made for each other. Such a lovely couple and such a pleasure to share your day with you. Congratulations to you, Jaq & Gaz...

The Bluff Wedding- Coopers Shoot – Andrew & Samantha

Champagne Celebrant Byron Bay wedding AlbumAndy & Sam wedding by Champagne Celebrant Coopers ShootOne of the best views of Byron would have to be from "The Bluff" at Coopers Shoot. Just breathtaking! This is where the Englishman would await the arrival of his bride. Guest’s fresh from the UK and New Zealand were in for a beautiful Byron summers day. Magic cool breeze to boot.
Samantha silenced the chit chat as she stepped out of the Dub Combi with her mum beaming and her nervous flower girl. Samantha’s smile was like a beacon on the bluff especially for her excited groom, Andy.

After a romantic ceremony, guests were treated to fine champagne and scrumptious finger food knocked up by Fat Belly Cat and her team.

The Summer House is such a pad for a party. Fabulous views and architectural splendour. Ooh Argh!

Byron @ Byron Wedding- Suffolk Park – Joe & Rickie

Champagne Celebrant Byron Bay wedding AlbumJoe & Rickie wedding by Champagne Celebrant Byron on ByronWhat a day to go down with food poisoning.

For most couples the ceremony is over in a blink. Not for Joe though. It was a marathon event. He couldn’t wait to get out of his wedding gear and into a shower. Joe did not disappoint his gorgeous Rickie and even managed a few smiles.

The ceremony was held in the Byron @ Byron grounds on boardwalks surrounded by wetlands.  The humidity was almost visible. There were as many wet shirts as wet eyes by the time Joe and Rickie were announced man and wife.

Then a surprise for everyone. Butterfly release!!

The real surprise was when the butterflies were taken out of the little cardboard box, they didn’t want to leave. Eventually, after a lot of shooing, they flittered away one by one.

Joe and Rickie with a lot of support from their family and friends sealed there vows with a kiss or two and another happy story drew to a happy end.

Deck Elopement at Lennox Head – Wernher & Deborah

Champagne Celebrant Byron Bay wedding AlbumWernher & Deborah elopement by the Champagne Celebrant Lennox Head5 am – lights, camera, action. Scene 1: Ring ring –‘ Jacqui it's raining, the beach wedding is out, can we come to yours?’ Scene 2: ‘Where do you live again?’ Then Scene 3 with the soft drizzle of rain in the background: ‘Cut! Roll it again?’
Such a romantic elopement, two incredibly in-love souls accompanied by some amorous music. It was perfect. Every move professionally filmed by the easy going Col. Laughter, laughter again and more laughter. With some hilarious bloopers it was the funniest ceremony I have had the pleasure of attending. Wernher & Deborah, thanks for making our Sunday morning one to remember. See you both soon. XX

Byron @ Byron Wedding- Suffolk Park – Clinton & Anastasia

Champagne Celebrant Byron Bay wedding AlbumClinton Anastasia Wedding by Champagne Celebrant Byron BayFor Clinton and Anastasia luck would be on their side. Full on rain for a week but it was finally their moment to shine. And that it did.
Byron at Byron with its luscious landscape made it even better. Such an exquisite bush setting, so secluded, so romantic.
Guests, some of them all the way from Russia, enjoyed the Aussie warmth, hospitality and of course our bubbles.
Surrounded by loving family and friends Clint and Anastasia were overwhelmed with the intimacy of the moment. Couldn't have been more perfect, just as Clinton and Anastasia are for each other.
Mr & Mrs Holland, may you make many happy memories just as you did today.

Pavilions Wedding - Broken Head - James & Diane

James & Diane Wedding by Champagne Celebrant Broken HeadChampagne Celebrant Broken Head Wedding AlbumBroken Head Pavilion’s is the spot. It never disappoints with fabulous backdrops from any angle. James, the ever so cool calm and collected groom was mingling with his guests like he was one of them. Diane the bride was waiting excitingly for her queue from an adjacent room. Eager to start the next part of her amazing adventure with James.
The bride and her mum, myself and yes you James all were swept up in the emotion and out came the emergency tissues. A truly heartfelt ceremony filled with love, laughter and tears of joy. The Moet flowed and the celebrations began.

Guests were also plied with exquisite finger food from Figtree Restaurant. The attention to detail and scrumptious delights never disappoint when Che and his staff are on hand.

What a fabulous way to spend a warm summer afternoon surrounding yourself with love, good vibes and an awesome couple. Here’s to you James & Diane.

Craig Reina Wedding by Celebrant Lennox HeadDeck Wedding at Lennox Head - Craig & Reina

Champagne Celebrant Lennox Head Wedding Photo AlbumThe scene was set. Sunset in place, candles lit, flags flowing in the breeze. Champagne on ice.

Now all we need is the bride and groom! They arrive with immediate family in tow for an intimate ceremony about to unfold.

On our beautiful deck at our home in Lennox. Got to love the deck.

Some truly wonderful memories have been created here.

Craig and Reina with eyes only for each other couldn't wait to get things underway.

Before the sun was set the deal was done, smiles all round, kisses, cuddles and the popping of corks. Celebrating was well and truly underway.

Mihir Mausumi wedding with Champagne Celebrant Lennox HeadDeck Wedding at Lennox Head - Mihir & Mausumi

Champagne Celebrant Lennox Head Wedding Photo AlbumTalk about serenity now!

The afternoon glow plastered the deck with a warm orange.

The waft of incense and spirituality made set the tone for what was to be a joyful cross cultural celebration.

The ceremony was concocted from a combination of Eastern and Western rituals and customs.

I have known Mihir for many years and it really touched my heat to be apart of his special day.

As soon as the words 'husband and wife' were announced, Mihir placed the time-honoured red mark on Mausumi's forehead and explxained the traditional meaning.

Then, with a charge of love in the air, Mihir & Mausumi embraced under the waning skies.

We were then treated to a divine Indian banquet prepared especially for the wedding day.

It was such an honor to be a part of a loving, spiritual celebration with these amazing friends.

Lennox Heads Cliff Top Wedding - Paul & Esther

Paul and Esther married by the Byron Bay CelebrantWhen I finish a ceremony so excited and energized that I just can't wait to tell my friends, it's got to be different. Paul and Esther really know how to turn on a party like atmosphere. Who would have thought with the 8:30am start time. With the stormy weather, the beach ceremony was cactus so up to Paul and Esther's new home on the cliff overlooking Lennox Heads.

Architect Paul, must have had 'breathtaking' in mind when he pencilled the plans for this spectacular pad. Vertigo could strike the unwary. As soon as 'Walkin on Sunshine' started up everyone was gyrating to the beat. That set the tone for what was to be the most merriment you could imagine in a ceremony that includes the obligatory statutory legal components.

Guests were treated to what can only be described as energy packed and anti-traditional wedding ceremony. Lots of interaction with guests chipping in their two bobs worth. Though the ceremony was scripted, there was plenty of ad-libbing animated with dancing and pirouetting. It was hard to leave for the next wedding with all the excitement still bubbling over.

Paul and Esther are blessed with such a wonderful group of family and friends and it was a gift to have been their Celebrant.

Resort Wedding - Broken Head Pavilions - Laurie & Tamara

Laurie and Tamara just married at Byron BayFor an ex-Englishman, Laurie handled the heat with relative ease. Tamara thrives in the heat so she could not see what all the fuss was about. It was warm...

Move the ceremony into the shade? But why!

David Moore, the photographer clinched it when he wisely mentioned that the direct sun would make too many shadows for wedding shots. That did it and as you can see from the photos he gave excellent advice.

The pavilions are so close to the beach that the waves were quite audible as a background to the building excitement.

Bride and Groom looked every bit ready for a centrefold shoot and were complimented by a great deal of warmth and well wishers.

The ceremony struck the right spot, tears, laughs and romance. Then as usual, it seemed to be over too quickly.

Ruby's at Lennox Head - Michael & Lee

Michael Lee Wedding Lennox Head CelebrantFifteen years together, 4 kids and and the romance is still firing.

A great bunch of friends and family really set the tone at this sea view venue for a very friendly and loving couple.

The kids all participated by releasing helium balloons in memory of family that couldn't be with them on their day.

Stunning bridesmaids decked out in black supported the most beautiful bride.

Lee looked gorgeous along side her very handsome groom.

The wet weather had no chance of dampening the frivolity and after all, they do say it is lucky to have rain on your wedding day!

Teven Celebrity Wedding - Aaron & Natalie

Celebrity Wedding with Aaron and Natalie - BallinaYes, Aaron from the Master Chef series tied the knot with his long term partner Natalie who made a name for herself on Young Talent Time. You may have read all about it in 'New Idea'. Their wedding took place on a fine day in the beautifully groomed grounds at Aaron's parent's farm at Teven.

The Dress code was Cocktail so, what a fabulous excuse to buy a new outfit with hairdo to match. Anyway, the ceremony was straight from the heart and the bride and groom are blessed with a close knit group of family and friends.

I write most of the ceremonies but on this occasion Natalie chose to write her own ceremony. Although I put a lot of feeling into the wording of each ceremony, doing it yourself really adds that personal touch. Natalie was gorgeous as only a bride can be.

Aaron's mother is a well known makeup artist so both the bride and bridesmaid looked like they were ready for a magazine photo shoot. I had to look twice at Aaron.

His father is a hairstylist and when I saw the job he did on Aaron, I wished I had him do my hair too. When it came to dressing for the occasion, don't worry, Aaron looked the part too and shone in the crowd. What a colourful day with the photographer in full drag and the place wall to wall with familiar TV personalities and sports legends.

Then a balmy Teven spring evening to follow, so many somebody's in attendance, no shortage of new acquaintances, of course the partying looked like kicking off with vigour.  It didn't take long for everyone to pick up on the high from the newly weds and the rest of the storey is one of those 'what happens on the road, stays on the road' stories! Who said being a Celebrant was just all hard work!
