Bang, splash and the sky opened up. Skirts, legs, camera’s racing in all directions. Then it was over. Totally over. It was like transporting the venue to a new climate. The sun came out and everyone forgot their emergency wet weather plans.
It would have been sacrilege to abandon such a beautiful leafy venue. The guests soaked in the aura of the moment that could only be upstaged by Kalila’s entrance. What a stunning bride. Complete with a killer dress.
The trimmings were all lost in the moment and the story of Luke and Kalila unfolded. Such a privilege to be a part of this couples special moment. Cheers.

So into each other, Tim and Leah make you feel warm and lovable inside. Tim couldn’t wait to get his hands on Leah as she walked down the lawn towards him. What a wonderful bunch of family and friends joined them to celebrate a major event for these two lovebirds.
Eth and Nato, Tim’s sons, were in close attendance throughout and entertained us with some fancy guitar work by Eth and even some hilarious stand-up comedy by Nato. Tim, Leah and the boys shared cuddles and hugs at each turn and the boys proudly presented Leah with a ring to wear with her wedding band. More tears.
The tears, the laughter and the joy reverberated right through the ceremony and continued well into the night!
We were so privileged to be a part of it all.

Talk about fairy tale weddings. A photographer’s dream venue full of photogenic people. Matt and Sherri’s wedding could have been cut straight out of a storybook. No matter which way you looked, the eyes were treated. This French styled Chateaux really takes the cake when it comes to wow factor.
Matt and his groomsmen were pacing around keeping to the shade. Meanwhile Sherri and bridesmaids were chatting excitedly in the Chateaux tower.
The fairy tale finally started with oohs and wows as Sherri appeared in the doorway. Soon the Matt had Sherri in his arms and the temperature shot up 10 degrees.
Gorgeous couple, wonderful warm friends and family, so much glamour.
Cheers to the new Mr and Mrs Cartright!

Summerland Farm was the perfect wet weather plan for Brett & Michelle.
With a scenic backdrop of dense greenery and the pitter patter of yes, you guessed it, RAIN!
Didn't matter to these two so long as the I DO's were said.
That was all that mattered.
With two gorgeous little boys, Blake and Kale, it was a real family affair. In fact there was almost as many children as there were adults in attendance.
Michelle took centre stage with a beautiful ivory gown complete with classic veil. Great touch Michelle. What a wonderful family Brett and Michelle have. All the very best from Gaz and myself as you venture into married life..:-)

Ok. Someone up there has a lot to answer for.
You can plan your wedding day twelve months in advance, with no stone unturned and with attention to detail top of the list.
Then some water to falls out of the sky.
Just one flood and everything is in chaos.
But when the bride’s name is Amanda, rest assured, there is nothing to worry about. Amanda took it all in her stride, and bingo, all was back on track at a new venue and ready to party.
The only thing that mattered to Amanda and Brett was that they tied the knot.
And that they did.
What a momentous occasion it was with lots of smiles and chuckles at the degree of difficulty these two love birds faced. Raised glasses to you both, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

Picture this – warm sun, light breeze, not a cloud in the sky and a 120 year old fig tree with rolling green pastures as a back drop. If only the fig could talk. Imagine the stories it could tell!
Ross, the groom, calmly went about setting the scene for his bride.
The limo quietly eased up the driveway when no-one was watching. Ebony snuck in almost unannounced and before we all knew it she was gliding down the aisle accompanied by her dad Ed, sister Karlee and her gorgeous daughter Indi who just about stole the show. What a pretty spot and what a pleasure it was to be in the midst of it all. Romantic music, laughter, love and smiles filled the air along with a few corks popping. Enjoy Thailand you two and create many more happy memories just like today.

What a beautiful setting for a garden wedding. Immaculate lawns and a luxuriant backdrop of greenery. Perfect! A sizzling November afternoon in Goonellabah and that sun sure did have some sting in it. Nothing that a cooling ale couldn't fix.
Ben sweating bullets but one excited groom, was a little nervous just wanting his bride to arrive asap.
Unannounced the black stretch limo from Byron limousines cruised on in without warning. I quickly gathered the guests and all was in order. We were now ready for the lady of the day.
A Hollywood glam emerged and there she was. Breathtaking! Plenty of oohh's and aarh’s. A tear shed here and there.
I could almost hear Ben's heart beat from where I stood. He couldn't have been prouder. Ben & Nerida were like magnets to one another. The love in their eyes, their energy, their smiles. I am sure we all took a little bit of the vibe home with us.

You couldn't find a more cosy setting than La Baracca for a rainy winter's day in Lismore. Dillon and Sharon didn't make the call based on the weather though.
This has been one of their favourite haunts so it was an easy choice. No sooner had we set up than Dillon wanted a hand at critiquing his wedding speech.
Talk about cutting it fine.
The speech was excellent as it was and that sombre demeanour is just a cover for a rather witty sense of humour.
Sharon then burst onto the scene escorted by her mother Maureen. She caught everyone off guard.
It was like hitting the ceremony go button.
The harpist tickled the strings into life and everyone seemed to be spirited into their places facing the wedding party.
Oh, I forgot to mention that Sharon looked absolutely stunning. Did I mention that Dillon also has great taste?
This couple gave me lots of fun tales to tell and the guests enjoyed every detail. Another great story for a rainy day.
Renewal of Vows - Mirriyindi - Binna Burra - Tony & JeannieYou can't have a surprise wedding for your true love but you CAN have a surprise renewal of vows.
It's a sure sign of rock solid romance when your husband of 30 years makes all the arrangements to bowl over his beautiful wife with a visit from the local Celebrant.
Jeannie was rendered speechless with the realization of what was happening. The tears started and quickly spread around the entire family.
Back on track with stories of Tony and Jeannie's courting days and the smiles returned.
A heartfelt reading from daughter Debbie almost tipped the scales back to tears again but everyone regained their composure to end on a high after I quoted Jeannie's favourite saying: -
'If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day so I never have to live without you'.

Someone pretty high up
in the stratosphere must have been looking down kindly on Ben &
Kerry because the rain suddenly (and I do mean suddenly) cleared
after weeks of grey skies and sodden conditions. When we woke up to
a cloudless sky it felt strange to return to normal (if that makes
Just before the bride was due, a generous crowd appeared as if from nowhere and filled the rotunda and lawn in Spinks Park, Lismore.
Ben looking tall, handsome and suited up ready for action but you could see that for Ben, time was standing still while he waited for his true love to appear. Then Kerry strolled into the park. Wow!!! So radiant in her long magenta dress and flowing gold hair.
No wonder Ben couldn't take his eyes off her. I don't know how he managed to ad lib his vows so well but he touched everyone with his down to earth and genuine manner.
Grace & Mimi, from Kerry & Bens' church, provided a beautiful duet while Ben & Kerry shared a glass of champagne at the signing table. This was a special wedding for me as I have known Kerry since we were kids together in East Lismore. It's such a privilege to marry someone you have known for years.

The Lemon Tree Café at Wollongbar was the perfect setting for Steve & Diane on what was a perfect day. The sun shone and so did the bride. By her side were her two daughters who looked radiant and so happy to be a special part of their mum's day!
Thomas, Diane's son, played an important role too. He was in charge of the rings during the ring warming which went without a hitch. Thomas couldn't wait to shower the happy couple not only with hugs and kisses after the ceremony but confetti as well!
Steve's two children had flown all the way from NZ and enjoyed not only soaking up the atmosphere but some welcome sunshine as well.
Steve's quick witted brothers added a cheeky flavour to the day's events! Surrounded by loving family and friends the guests were treated to scrumptious finger food by the girls at Lemon Tree Café.
The mouth watering tower of cup cakes for dessert was barely intact long enough for a few photos.
The bride out did herself and made the wedding cake herself along with handmade gifts for each guest. As the sun went down and the day drew to a close it was the start of a new day for this fabulous couple.

When you have achieved the heights of a crowned world champion in your chosen sport, there is no taking second best.
Ben certainly wasn’t about to start on his wedding day. Best venue, best friends and family, best love and oh so romantic.
Deux Belettes is a complete treasure in the rolling hills south of Alstonville. Rustic French building architecture and classic gardens down to the waterfall and stream. Heaven!
A loving couple looking to start a family and settle into their retreat for a happy and caring life together. A delight to meet you and be a part of such a classy occasion. Thank you and bottoms up!
